Old Palace Chester Jellyfish Wedding Theme

I was so looking forward to this Old Palace Chester wedding of Kathryn & James. We had got on so well so far in our e-mails and our Zoom call. They had some great ideas for their wedding and it was going to be something different. They had chosen Jellyfish as a Wedding Theme. Being a very abstract person lots of crazy things were going through my head, and I was very excited to see what they had in stall.

The Old Palace

The Old Palace Chester is a fairly new venue. The location is absolutely fabulous for a wedding. Situated right in the centre of Chester city centre, with views looking over the Dee. The Old Palace is extremely stylish, very modern with a palatial feel. There is lots of chandeliers, stylish furniture and a swanky bar. The Palace suite is the room to talk about here. It really has a wow factor. So if your a bride that really wants to impress her girlfriends or just really want to feel like a princess on your wedding day, then this is the venue for you. This must be the most beautiful room I have seen for a bridal suite/ honeymoon suite. The room oozes luxury and grandeur.

Natural Style Photography Old Palace Chester

Kathryn and James had already discussed with me that they wanted some group photos, but predominantly they wanted a natural style photography with no posed photos. There are some amazing places in this venue to get some stunning posed photographs, but at this wedding it was all about natural moments, raw emotion and fun and laughter.

Jellyfish Theme

The theme was very tasteful and not at all what I had imagined. The jellyfish centre pieces were very ethereal and kind of looked like sculptural wedding dresses. The couple had made these themselves. They also had Jellyfish biscuits as favours, real Jellyfish in a tank in reception and the cake toppers were Jellyfish, so nothing to crazy, just very original.
