Thistle Haydock Weddings

I am a Chester based wedding photographer. I cover wedding photography services all areas of Cheshire and the UK. there are so many venues in Cheshire alone that I am discovering new venues all the time. This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Thistle Haydock in Cheshire. The Thistle Haydock is situated close to the Haydock Racecourse. This is not far from Newton Le Willows. If I haven’t photographed a wedding at a venue before I do a couple of test shoots before the wedding day, so that I know where the best places are to get the nicest photographs. I usually photograph all areas of the hotel, so that the photographs have more variety. At the Thistle Haydock They have three reception rooms . This wedding was in the Marquee, which can hold 220 guests.

Beofore the ceremony is a great time to photographs the groomsmen. The photographs I take at this time are candid, relaxed and informal shots. I aim to capture the mood of the groom and his merry men.

The bride got ready with her bridesmaids at the hotel. If you are getting married at the hotel, I would advise getting ready at the hotel as time is more manageable.  I used natural window light to take the following photographs.

The brides mother gave her away.

Outside there are lots of spots to take photographs.

The rocks at the side of the hotel worked great as seating for this group shot.

The arches at the front of the Thistle haydock hotel entrance, framed the couple perfectly in the following photographs.
