Wedding at Saint Paul’s Church in Widnes and Reception at Catton Hall Shooting Lodge

To have your wedding reception at a shooting lodge is such a great idea! Hayley and Dave chose to have their wedding reception at the Catton Hall Shooting lodge. This is just off the beaten track in Frodsham, Cheshire. The couple first tied the knot at Saint Paul’s Church in Widnes. The church is a grade 2 listed building built in 1910. The church is a beautiful building to look at. Inside the church has large stained glass windows and a long aisle, which is lovely for weddings.  After the ceremony I just had to get some photographs of the bride and groom in the church alone and make use of the beautiful interior as a background. I took all the group photographs at Catton Hall Shooting Lodge.  Just as you pull into the venues grounds there is a tree lined drive. This made a stunning backdrop for the bride and groom shoot.  For the group shots I wanted to keep the rural characteristics of the venue within the theme of the photographs.
