Cheshire Woodland Weddings is situated in Blakemere Village, Cheshire. I have to say I have fallen in love with this venue. Initially I was inspired by the whole idea of getting married outside in nature and beautiful surroundings. What really got me was when the ceremony starts. This is a magical time. Imagine this. As the ceremony starts, everyone quietens. All you can hear is the leaves rustling and birds singing. Then you hear the crunch, crunch of leaves and bracken as the bridal party make there way through the woodlands. And then up the aisle. The excitement and anticipation build. This really enhances the experience. In my opinion they have thought of every little detail to make your wedding unique and special.
The Ceremony at Cheshire Woodland weddings
This is the type of venue that would suit anyone who loves the outdoors. The ceremony is taken place under a wooden hut in the woods. There are wooden whimsical signs guiding you to the ceremonial hut saying ” This way to the I DO’s”
The Woodlands
The Woodland wedding area is kept very rustic and fitting in with its surroundings. There is a small bar, a love swing and lots of picture frames that people can take selfie’s in, so a little bit of fun to have when having your after ceremony drink. The Woodlands is a beautiful setting for your wedding photographs. Here we used smoke bombs which was really effective with the sun shinning through the trees.
Outdoors Entertainment at Cheshire Woodland Weddings
During the afternoon Cheshire Woodland weddings offer activities such as archery, Air Rifle shooting, Sedgeway’s, mini golf and lawn games. This is fantastic for your guest’s. No need to worry about how you will entertain them. The wedding venue also host a Bird of Prey show that is interactive, involving the bride and groom and their guests.
Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast takes place in the Barn. This is a huge converted barn. This has been decorated beautifully. It is absolutely stunning. The Barn has canteen style long, wooden tables, lots of fairy lights and a big LED Love sign.

We chose Vickie to photograph our wedding in June 2022 and couldn't be happier! She was there the full day, from getting ready right through to the dancing! Vickie was with myself and the bridesmaids during the morning and was super friendly and welcoming, helping us during the last mad dash to get ready and out!! She took stunning shots of the venue before guests arrived. During the day, Vickie was brilliant! It was just like she was part of the group! The pictures are absolutely stunning and capture our day perfectly! We love looking at them and reliving the day. We asked for mostly natural pictures and that's exactly what we got! Our photos were shared on a USB box is beautiful, a great keepsake! I honestly couldn't recommend Free Spirit Photography enough!! Leanne and Kev xx
