Chester Racecourse wedding
Cheshire wedding Photographer
Chester Racecourse is based in the center of Chester, Cheshire. This famous landmark is a popular wedding venue. The grounds have many great areas where you can take wedding photographs. Chester racecourse is the oldest Racecourse still being used in England. The racecourse is also known as the Roodee. This means “The island of the cross”.
The bridesmaids make their way through the grounds to the wedding ceremony.
The wedding ceremony was to be held in the Paddock room, which overlooked the parade ring and the winners enclosure. The room had a glass front. This made the room fill with natural light. The room is long and narrow. This gave the bride a long aisle to walk down. The bride’s dog, Dolly was the ring bearer. The idea to have your pets playing a part on your wedding day is becoming more and more popular.
The stands at Chester racecourse is a fabulous place to take the big group photograph of everyone. You can get everyone’s face in the photograph. The stands have steps going up. This took very little organization to get people in an order were everyone could be seen. We also took the confetti shot at The Stands. While all guests were together we got everyone to just throw confetti into the air rather than throw it over the Bride and Groom.
The racecourse had large open spaces, lots of greenery and great perspectives.Bride and Groom with their ring bearer pug dog called Dolly.
The racecourse has lots of character. The stools that the groom and Bestmen posed on made for great props.

The Paddocks rooms have lots of natural light coming in as one wall is just glass looking over the racecourse. This was the perfect place for the wedding breakfast.
The wedding cake had models of Andrea and Tony’s and their three pug dogs on top.
