Stunning Chester Zoo Wedding in the Square

This Chester zoo wedding was held at The Square. The newest addition to Chester Zoo’s events. Hannah and Tim’s wedding day began at The Doubletree by Hilton in Chester starting with bridal preparations. Hannah and her girlies were so much fun, full of excitement and nerves. I could tell as soon as I entered the room that this was going to be a great wedding. The Hilton was a perfect spot for the girls to get ready. Only ten minutes away from the zoo, it set the stage for a fun and relaxed day.

The Square is a grade 2 listed building, once a stable block. The arched entrance adds a lovely touch, and the big windows fill the space with natural light. The weather was beautiful, making it ideal for an outdoor ceremony. This spot, nestled in the zoo, has a charming courtyard. This is were the ceremony was held.

After the vows, the guests mingled. A special highlight was when Pete the Poet read a freestyle poem about the couple. His presence added a unique flair, and he continued to entertain everyone with more poems throughout the day.

Walk around Zoo

One of the best parts was the chance to explore the zoo. We accompanied Hannah & Tim, stopping to meet the penguins and flamingos. As with all weddings done in a public settings you are bound to get a little attention with people shouting congratulations! lovely though. Chester Zoo has beautiful gardens, making great backdrops for the wedding photos.

As the day continued, the wedding breakfast and speeches added more joy and laughter. Later, the DJ invited everyone to the dance floor for the first dance. Just when Hannah and Tim thought it couldn’t get better, a surprise roaming brass band appeared. They started playing indoors and then moved outside, with guests dancing along. It was a great moment that truly capped off their special day.

The guests, entertainment, setting all made this wedding, and Tim and Hannah were just so lovely to photograph, so yes we really enjoyed this one. Thanks For having us!
