WOODHEY HOTEL MERCURE

I was very excited about this bridal shoot at the WOODHEY HOTEL MERCURE in Ellesmere port, Cheshire. I visited this hotel while looking for wedding venues closer to where I lived. The idea being that I photographed more local weddings. As I have just moved from Chester to Whitby in Ellesmere Port I only knew of a few hotels in that area. As soon as I walked into the WOODHEY HOUSE HOTEL I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted very nicely by members of staff who were really accommodating. I was totally inspired by each room. I was bursting with ideas and really wanted to get stuck in. However I didn’t have a wedding booking there yet. I decided to do a Bridal model shoot. The following images where taken in the restaurant around the piano area. My mind drifted to the film The fabulous Baker boys with the sexy Michelle Pfeiffer singing along to lounge jazz music. Love that film! My model Teri Ratcliffe was amazing, just effortless. She didn’t really need to do much to look good, and I think she was ideal for this shoot. Some of the photographs below have a 1960s feel, which I wasn’t going for, but I love. Other photographs below where taken in the bar area, foyer and outside area. Enjoy!
